Petra Garcia

Petra was born September 10, 1928 in Corbett, Texas. She lived a long, glorious life surrounded by family and friends. She was an independent woman with a strong mind who enjoyed doing things her way. She spent her days exploring Austin, crafting, making quilts and singing Christian songs with her beloved pets.

She is survived by her daughters, Tomasa Solis, Anita Gonzales and sons; Cruz Garcia, Johnny Garcia, Espirerion “Jay” Garcia Jr. and Frank Garcia. She leaves to cherish her memory, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
