Phyllis Elaine Kalin

Phyllis was a loving wife and mother. She graduated from high school in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. On September 25, 1951, she married Harold Kalin in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved animals and travel, having traveled around the world 1 ½ times. She was a teletype operator for Western Union and TWA, secretary for the US Government, Bank, Brokerage Firm, and Legal Secretary for the United States Attorney.

She is predeceased by her mother Ora Soutier, father Elmer Soutier, and brother Clifford Soutier.

Phyllis will be dearly missed by the surviving members of the family: her husband of 70 years, Harold Kalin of Austin, TX; her daughter Sherry Thomas and son-in-law Michael Thomas of Austin, TX; and her sister Beverly Vittone of Lanesboro, MA.

Phyllis was passionate about the services to children provided by St. Jude’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s in her memory.
