She attended Austin schools and graduated from Austin High School. She married Jesse L. Mahlmann on March 16, 1951. She worked for Southwestern Bell and Texas Instruments in the phone and semi-conductor industries. She was a longtime member of Rosedale Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and their five dogs, and especially loved to see her grandkids. She also enjoyed people watching, doing puzzles, taking cruises and traveling.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Irene Crawford; her husband, Jesse Mahlmann; her sister, Lois Knesek; and her son-in-law, Ron Church. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Church of Prescott, Arizona and Sandra Mahlmann of Hutto, Texas; grandchildren, Steven Church and wife Pamela and Jessica Mahlmann and husband Craig Crawford; great-grandchildren, Abigail Church, Wyatt Crawford and Hallie Crawford.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. She will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
