When I take my last breath,
And the stars shine bright over me,
I want no ceremony of gloom, while you are remembering me,
Why feel sorry that I am gone on home? Because I have been truly set free!
I am gone from my earth suit,
But my soul and spirit are still alive.
Cry a little to ease the pain,
Yet not always, so that grief and sorrow will not remain.
Remember the love that we shared,
And not with a bowed down head,
Because all have this journey to make,
Which is why when we pray to the Lord,
Our soul to take.
When you are struck with loneliness for me,
Praise God and give thanks, and
Just remember that I am free!
