During WWII he proudly served the US Navy in the South Pacific. After returning to Austin and marrying the former Lois Homesley, he established himself as a plumber and was a 69 year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #286.
For 15 years he traveled the state as a Field Representative for the Texas State Board of Plumbing; enjoying the drives and the Texas landscapes. He was a long standing and active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
In his retirement years he enjoyed travelling, woodworking and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents Starr and Ruth Fullerton, his brother Ralph Fullerton and wife Ruby; and his brother Rex Fullerton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Fullerton; his children Rhonda Smith and Roger (Loraine) Fullerton; his grandchildren Lauren Smith, Ashley Smith, Will (Mandi) Fullerton and Emma Fullerton; his sister-in-law Jo Fullerton and many friends and neighbors.
