Raymond Raschke

Raymond attended Ridge Top Elementary, University Junior High and Austin High School. He graduated from UT Austin School of Pharmacy in 1951. He married Elda Foerster in the Peace Lutheran Church on July 27, 1952. Raymond was a proud serviceman in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas and Moody Air Force base in Georgia. Upon discharge he moved to Dallas, Texas with his wife until moving to Austin in 1959. While in Austin he worked as a Pharmacist at Eckerd’s on 29th and Guadalupe Street. Upon retirement he worked as a relief pharmacist in Georgetown.

Raymond enjoyed raising cattle, League Bowling, sitting by Lake Brownwood and feeding the deer.

He will be greatly missed by his family that is left to cherish his memories including his wife Elda Raschke and his son Douglas Raschke.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Viola Raschke; daughter Linda Denise Raschke, sister Lynett Klaerner and his brother Leroy Raschke.
