Richard Paul Cable, 64, of Austin, Texas passed away September 26, 2011. He was born on November 6, 1946 in Hastings, Nebraska. His parents, Marvin and Evelyn Cable, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susana Cable, daughter Katie Cable-Trevino, son-in-law Oscar Trevino, son Thomas Cable, brother William Cable and wife Rosemary, brother Thomas Cable and wife Roberta, sister Peggy Graff and husband Charles and numerous nieces and nephews. In life he had a love of fishing, watching his son play baseball, going to the movies with his daughter and son-in-law, and taking out of state trips with his wife. He proudly served his country for four years in the navy, which included a tour in Vietnam. He was a loyal employee at US Food Service and was loved by all of his co-workers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas from 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas at 10am and interment will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to The American Kidney Association in Richard’s name.
