Robert graduated from BelAir High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in El Paso. He married Connie Ellison on June 14, 1969.
Robert joined The United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Captain after serving ten years. He later held various management positions at Bill Miller Barbeque, Maxwell Dealership in Taylor, and CIE Management. He then worked as a security guard until he retired in 2012. Bob was a member of many organizations throughout his life including The Exchange Church, American Legion Post #0447, the National Rifle Association, PT Cruisers Club and BACA Center of Round Rock, Texas.
Robert had passions for guns, classic cars, The Special Olympics, dogs, motorcycles, and coins.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Strange, his daughter, Michelle Campbell, his son, Mike Strange, and his sister, Donna Stetson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Bob’s honor at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 in The Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home followed by a time of fellowship.
