As I went from campus to campus as a School Nurse, Robin was there in the midst, welcoming and smiling as she helped to provide for our hungry students. A fine Lady.

Robin was truly a second mother to me. She took care of me my whole life. When I was a baby and just learning to walk and into junior high when she would cut the corn off the cob since I had braces. Even in high school though we had moved to a new town. Driving out to see different events I was participating in. She is the one responsible for getting me to church. Truly a beautiful person that I was lucky to know. She loved me and I am all the better because of it.

Ken and family,
The first time I met Robin was over the phone. I just got my roommate assignment from Bauder. I admit my accent is often a topic of conversation but Robin’s little girl voice was something to reckon with—especially when she got tickled and started to laugh. These were the days before facetime , texting, and cellphones. In fact long distance calling was expensive. So, I had to ask my mom if I could call and say hello and introduce myself. Ken, you should thank me—I lived with Robin first (outside her family). After that first year of college and we both graduated from Bauder—it was time to think about what was next on our life journey,. We both missed our days of school and being able to talk, study together, getting the news of the birth of a niece, etc and living life. Meeting you was the best gift that blessed Robin and me. The friendship between that next phase in life—marriage brought fun times for the new us as couples. Many a grand time at the lake skiing and boating, eating Mexican food, Astroworld, taking our impressionable son to meet the Dallas Football Cheerleaders, barbecues, adding kids to our lot just was more spice to life. . Because this is public, I’ll skip our long nights of playing Rook and the end result. At least we girls did not lock you guys outside. I’m sorry that Robin beating us to heaven brought back all these memories and more ( remember what happened in New Orleans stays in New Orleans). Robin has left her legacy and touched our lives in ways that only God could have orchestrated. Ken, you know you are loved. I will miss Robin more than I can tell you.

Dearest Ken, Jason, Janet, and family

Steve and I are so saddened by Robin’s death. Such a fine person with both gentleness and feistiness all rolled into one little body! She was steadfast in her faith and generous in her service to God. She clearly adored her family and was a loyal friend.

We shared some fun times, like the new year’s eve party for Y2K and Ken, do you remember the “Oldywed Game” we played at our Sunday school party? Robin is a dear friend whose Christian example and memory I shall always cherish!

With much love, Debbie Morse
