

age of 79 at William R. Courtney Veterans Home in Temple, Texas. Ronald was a resident of
Round Rock, Texas, for 30 years.
In 1951, at the tender age of seven, Ronald immigrated to the United States on the U.S.N.S.
General Harry Taylor from the area of Neisse, Germany/Poland, along with his two older
brothers. After arriving in New York City, Ronald was adopted by Felix and Katherine Klemens
of Ohio in 1952. Upon graduating from Parma High School in Parma, Ohio, Ronald joined the
Air Force in 1962. After completing boot camp, he was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base where he met his future wife, Dimetra Turner. Ronald served seven years in the Air Force, reaching the rank of Tech Sergeant, before being honorably discharged in 1969. Ronald continued to serve his country through the Air Force Reserves for the next 30 years while working as a civil servant on Air Force bases in Texas and Utah and other government positions. He retired
from the Federal Aviation Administration in July of 2000 and the Air Force Reserves in 2003.
After retirement, Ronald was an active parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and
enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Allen R. Baca Center in Round Rock, Texas.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Katherine Klemens of Parma, Ohio;
brother, Siegfried Klemens, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Debra Klemens, of
Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dimetra Klemens, of Pflugerville, Texas; his eldest son, Arnold Klemens, of Salt Lake City, Utah (Antonia and Holden); his daughters, Elizabeth Klemens (Adam and Katherine); Rimgard and Mark Wilborn of Watagua, Texas (Courtney and Austin); Ellie Klemens and Jesse Ibarra of Pflugerville, Texas (Sarah); and his youngest son, David and Rachel Klemens, of South Jordan, Utah (Noah). Ronald is survived by three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Eric Townsend, of Lakewood, Ohio.

A ceremonial service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen Texas.
