Rose Marie Johnson, wonderful, loving and beautiful wife to William C. (BUD) Johnson for 50 years, and loving and caring mother of Corey Todd Johnson, passed to heaven on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2017 with her son and husband by her side.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she worked tirelessly. Rose Marie retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 20 years of faithful service. She was born in Killen, Alabama on December 7, 1943.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Johnson; son, Corey Todd Johnson; three granddaughters, Courtney Johnson, Chrissy Johnson and Carianne Johnson; two sisters, Dorthy Hemner of Florence, Alabama and Shirley Emmons of Mitchie, Tennessee.
A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home (I 35 North) on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home Chapel; followed by interment. After the ceremony friends are invited to her son and family's home for refreshments in her honor.
