Another year has passed since you’ve been gone. But this year is different. This year not only am I sad that you’ve been gone but now my dad is up there with you. How is he? Is he happy? Some  of my fondest memories of Rosie are  when she and Lupe Would come over to our house and spend the evening Sitting at our dining table listening to Tejano music,  And playing cards while the kids played those were the good old days. It’s been 30 looong years that I got to spend with you and it’s hard to grasp the reality that I will never see you again this lifetime. I was a pain in your ass and you got after me and taught me lessons that have made me who I am today. I’m gonna miss our morning and afternoon calls.  I am a stronger and wiser woman because of you I learned so much from you I am a better mom , a better wife and person in general. We had our misunderstandings but still loved each other. I will never ever forget you . me and ranchero will continue to raise baby josh ( lloron) Aniyah (sugapack) josiah(turtle) joel( Christian Mingo) Jacob (avocado) alizae ( sweetcake) the most loving way possible just like you did. I Thank God I have a sister like her in my life...Don’t misunderstand me sure we had our share of troubles throughout the years and all... Just like everyone does who have brothers and sisters... We have more good memories that out weigh the bad ones... I didn’t tell her often that I love her I know she knew but sometimes We shouldn’t take life for granted and enjoy every minute that we can saying our feelings even if we think that the other person knows how one feels... The only regret I have is not spending more time with her through out the years... I know someday we will all be together and I’ll miss you everyday but I know your with me Just like Momma is...

Rosie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Guadalupe Ontiveros, her 4 children: Janie Ontiveros, Guadalupe “JR” Ontiveros (Monica Ontiveros), Theresa Tijerina (John Tijerina) and Rita Ontiveros all of Austin, Texas, also 6 siblings, 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by everyone.
