Ruby L. Baker Fitzgerald, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Austin. She was born November 27, 1933 to Jessie and Lucille Williams Baker who preceded her in death. She had one sister, Mary Ann Hayden, who also preceded her in death. She was married to the late Marshall Fitzgerald, Jr.
Ruby was a graduate of L.C. Anderson High school and attended Huston-Tillotson College. She retired from South Central Conference Center in 1998, after serving as an administrative assistant for 21 years.
Ruby is survived by five (5) children: Rosalind (Earl, Jr.) Jackson of San Antonio, TX, Jacqueline (Juan) Gonzales of Aubrey, TX, Jeffrey Baker, Kelton (Pamelia) Baker, and Kimberly Baker, all of Austin; nephews Lawrence (Sandi) Morgan of Austin, TX, Darrell J. Morgan of Los Angeles, CA, niece, Harvenetta (Benjamin) Franklin of Austin; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
