Santosh was born in Agra, India on September 6, 1946 to Wellington and Amy Solomon. He completed his Master’s Degree in Personnel Management in Patna and Delhi, India. He married his wife, Rekha, in February 1979, and they welcomed their daughter Rebecca in December the same year. He moved to California in 1984 and joined the State Bank of India in Los Angeles until he retired in September 2020 and moved to Austin to be with his family.
In April 2012 he joyfully welcomed his two precious grandkids, Emily and Jacob, who he dearly loved and adored. Nana, Emily and Jacob would spend wonderful times together playing ball and riding bikes. He loved to spoil them by taking them to Whataburger and Starbucks, which he himself enjoyed very much.
He loved sports and politics and had a great interest in financial matters. He would regularly keep tabs on the stock market and how it was affecting his portfolio. Rebecca has inherited her dad’s avid interest in finance, sports and politics. They would be in heated discussions for hours.
He will be deeply missed by his friends and all who knew him. He will especially be missed by his family, who are devastated by the loss of Santosh, who was a beloved husband, dad, and loving nana.
Santosh is survived by his wife, Rekha; his daughter, Rebecca Fernandes; granddaughter, Emily Fernandes; and grandson, Jacob Fernandes. He is also survived by his sister, Asha Kapoor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wellington and Amy Solomon, and his brothers, Prem and Vijay Solomon.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in the Walden Room of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
