Sarah Elizabeth Biggert Harbin, age 99 and 11 months, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2018. She was born on December 13, 1918 in Randolph, Tennessee along with her beloved twin sister, Mary Etta Biggert Sparks.
Sarah was a photo processor and color correction artist for School Pictures in Jackson, Mississippi and Waco, Texas. She was a 40 year resident of Round Rock, Texas and a very active 30+ year member of St. Andrews Anglican Catholic Church. One could always find her working at the church in various ways, whether as a member of the Altar Guide, making her delicious pecan pies and banana pudding, cleaning the parish hall, or even mowing the grass well into her 80's. She loved to travel with her daughter and son-in-law across our country in the motor home. She enjoyed decorating all types of cakes and she made numerous beautiful quilts for her family members. She was a member of the Red Hatters and loved the Red Hatter luncheons. This active and fun lady will truly be missed by her family and her many friends.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Nedham Biggert and Ada Lee Strevel, her husband, Jesse DeWitt McKinney, her daughter, Evelyn Lucille Rose, her son, Jimmy Clyde McKinney, her grandson, Robert McKinney, her brothers, Joseph Biggert, Jesse Biggert, Clyde Biggert, and Johnny Biggert, her sister, Lucille Harbin, and her twin sister, Mary Etta Biggert Sparks.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth McKinney Jones and The Right Reverend Arlen Jones of Round Rock, Texas, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Jordan McKinney of Pearl, Mississippi, and her son, Walter George Harbin of Round Rock, Texas. She is also survived by numerous wonderful and loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 in The Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas followed by a committal service in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
