Sarah was born on December 18, 1938 in Creedmoor, Texas to the late Geronimo Rodriguez and Eulogia (Hernandez) Rodriguez.
She married Manuel Ramos on April 14, 1956 in Austin, Texas.
Alongside her husband of 62 years, Pastor Manuel Ramos, they founded Templo Monte Sinai Church in Austin, Texas in September 1978. Together, they have served in ministry for 40 years, leading countless people to Christ and serving families within their community and beyond. Many consider Pastor Sarah as a spiritual mother, who continuously loved unconditionally and prayed over them and their families through the years.
Sarah was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Although she served in many different roles throughout the ministry, she always believed that her family was her most important ministry. She was known for her generous heart, infectious laugh, and most important, godly counsel. Even in her last few months, Sarah would be seen loving, encouraging and praying for others in spite of her condition. She was absolutely a powerful woman of God, who impacted the lives of all those she encountered.
She is survived by her husband Manuel of 62 years; their three children Manuel Ramos, Jr., Benjamin Ramos, and Barbara Ochoa.; 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; her sister Carmen Lopez and brother Jesse Rodriguez.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, and her grandson, Javier Ramos.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at GT Austin Church on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. immediately following will be a memorial service to celebrate the Life of Pastor Sarah Ramos from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with Pastor John Alonzo officiating.
The Burial Service will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
