Aunt Shoddy, my memories go back as far as I can remember.... *making fudge & candy *Getting to scrape paint splattered windows at the apartments *The thrill  of digging through that chest (I always had to search for) that was full of buttons & bright, colorful fabric scraps (it was the 70s) thinking I found a real treasure. We would spend hours creating beautiful  things. Hey! Where did all those creations end up? back in the chest for my cousins to find?  ohhhh, that’s why I would sometime find things in there that I know we didn’t make. Trisha, we need to talk! *the round foot stool and the tv, stitches were involved. You were more of a wreck than my mom on the way to the hospital ! *Going  through all your nail polish bottles trying to pick a color for you to paint my nails  (Did you notice I always picked the same color you had on at the time) and then putting all those tiny bottles back on the tray for “next time”  *Lets about Chanel No 5,  I wasn’t allowed to touch and especially not to open THAT bottle.  So, of course I didn’t . Well,  maybe once when you weren’t looking.  It didn’t occur to me that the very distinctive smell of the perfume gave me away. I could never figure out how you knew I opened that stinkin little bottle every time  (ok, maybe I opened it more than once, and you ALWAYS knew immediately)  I just assumed you had “Aunt Shoddy powers” and knew everything about everything all the time, yes, kind of like God ) after all, you were the one who told me that Astroworld was, in fact, for kids, too (my parents would drop me off at your apartment when they went to Astroworld telling me it was, and I quote, “a place for adults”. I couldn’t wait to tell Mom & Dad  that kids could go, too (I bet they knew) I wasn’t really upset anyway because what my parents didn’t know was that being with you was way better than Astroworld! I miss you. I love you. Please give Gangan,Pete,& Brandon hugs, and tell Grandpa Neal all  about me, Love, Neicy

I am her cousin, and I got to visit with her a few years ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, wish I could be with you at this time. God has another Angel.

Committal Service

She was preceded in death by her parents, also her son Pete and her grandson Brandon.
Scharlene is survived by her loving husband, Tom; her precious daughter, Carlene; her brother Buddy and wife Marcia; her sister Joann and husband Clifford and her daughter-in-law A.J.
Survivors also include her grandchildren Jason and wife Elizabeth, Tyson, Stefani and partner Betty, Helen, Elena and Rihannan.  She is also survived by her three much loved great-grandchildren, Layton, Raelynn and Brayden. They loved their Nannie and their Nannie loved each of them. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who meant the world to her and her to them.
