

Sharon D. (Green) Imken, age 70, of Pflugerville TX passed away with family by her side on Friday September 1, 2017 in Hutto, TX. Sharon was born in Georgetown, TX and grew up in the surrounding area. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Eddie “Butch” Imken Jr., her father Dee R. Green Jr. and older sister Gloria Ann Green.
Sharon is a 1966 graduate of Pflugerville High School. Sharon and Eddie settled in Pflugerville where they raised two children. Sharon was a beloved wife, stay-at-home mom and proud grandmother of four. As her children were growing up, she was involved with many of their school and after school activities. She volunteered with the Pflugerville Little League, was part of the PHS FFA Booster Club and helped with various events when she could. Her house was always brimming with kids, whether it be family, friends of Eddie & Amy or children she cared for over the years. Sharon was at her happiest with a full house. She loved being around her family more than anything and always enjoyed family gatherings.
Sharon is survived by her children; son Eddie Imken and wife Brenda; daughter Amy Bundick and husband Jon; grandchildren Kayla Imken, Lane Imken, Gracie Bundick and Emma Bundick; sisters Linda Oertli, Peggy Quinn Cruz and husband Raymond; brothers Dee “Bo” Green III and Stephen Green; mother Idola Green; aunt Edith Todd and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Cook Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home on Thursday September 7, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville on Friday September 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. and burial will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery. A reception will follow inside the Parish Hall.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock and the staff at Falcon Ridge Rehabilitation in Hutto for the care and comfort of our mother during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville or the Susan G. Komen organization for breast cancer research.
