Shirley Pitts of Austin, Texas passed away Thursday March 28, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born July 25,1933 in Itasca, Texas to Hollis and Flora Mae Mabe. After graduating high school in Hillsboro, Texas, she attended Navarro Jr. College in Corsicana, Texas and Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked for Henna Chevrolet in Austin, Texas for over 37 years. She loved the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman Pitts, her sister Emma Jean Golden (Bill), and her grandson Dylan Thieme.
She is survived by her two children, Keith Walker, and Lisa Thieme (Monte); grandchildren Blaine Walker and Fallon Williams (Anthony), Dillon Thieme, Colby Thieme, and Dakota Thieme; great-grandchildren Knox Williams and Chandler Williams.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dillon Thieme, Colby Thieme, Clayton Thieme, Rob Neil, Derek Neil, Cody Johnson.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m.
