Shirley worked for the University of Texas Press for 42 years.
Shirley is survived by her daughters whom she loved so much, Sherry Williamson (John), Cherry Headrick (Jackie), and Carrie Stewart. Shirley was MeMaw to her loving grandchildren Justin Tabor, Michelle Swoda, Chantz Williamson, Dusty Williamson (Nicole), and Lacey Hightower-Santos. Four great grandchildren Sawyer, Kaysin, Kirsten Williamson and Bentley Hightower-Santos. Shirley is also survived by her brother Mervin Lind (Nancy); sisters, Dalton Mogonye, and Janice Atkinson (Larry), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Royce Stewart, mother Dorothy Lind and Father Ewald Lind and grandson Greg Swoda.
Shirley loved spending time outside when she could and no matter what she felt like or was having a bad day, she would take time to speak on the phone and was more worried about how things were going for each and every one she spoke with.
Although her final days were not where she wanted to be, she was truly blessed with some very special nurses in the ICU at Seton, who made her final days knowing she was loved and cared for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts that each of you were given to our family as Angels from heaven.
