On June 6th, 2020 at 12:57 p.m., Star slipped away from us and leapt into the hands of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, following a prolonged battle with IBM (Inclusion Body Myositis) & Pneumonia. IBM was a disease she battled for over twenty years. Her strength through all her trials and tribulations are beyond words.
Star will be remembered most for her personality, beautiful voice, bright smile, kind heart, friendly free-flowing conversations and most importantly her unwavering faith in the Lord. Her voice will continue to echo in all our hearts.
Star loved the color purple and Tweety Bird! She was like the riddance of sunshine inside a room. She was vibrant, enthusiastic and VERY vocal (Never bit her tongue) and truly a STAR!
Proceeding her in death were her Mothers, Lillie Mae Loffman & Legora Arzell Reed; Father, Henry Evans; husband, Ellis H. Babbs; brothers, Elbert & Oakley Evans; and her grandson, Jeremi Edinborough.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Cheralle Anderson of Austin, Leslie Freeman Barnett (Darrell) of Pflugerville, Morgana Freeman of Georgetown; four grandsons: Cory, Quentin, Dahnivon and Jordan; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
