

Steven Douglas Glover was born in Port Huron, Michigan on December 18, 1943, the firstborn son of Verna Krenke Campbell and Douglas Campbell. Following the marriage of his mother to Staff Sergeant Alex Glover, Mr. Glover adopted him. Steven passed away on November 15, 2025, at age of 81.
Steven served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-seven years, retiring as a Sr. Master Sergeant. He had tours of duty in several US states as well as overseas in Japan, Libya, Türkiye, Cyprus, and Viet Nam. He received numerous commendation medals, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star, and the Croix de Guerre (Cross of War) as a distinguished member of a US Advisory team in combat to the South Vietnamese military.
Following military retirement, he worked as a buyer for two technical corporations. On November 5, 2005, Steven married Linda Pybus Glover and retired once more to pursue a writing career, authoring eight historical novels of the Old West. His love of the history and culture of American Manifest Destiny gave reason for research travel to locations across Texas, Oklahoma, and the West to research and experience the land firsthand.
Steven was an active member of Round Rock Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he assumed leadership roles, including chair of Board of Elders and Moderator of Guiding Board and several small groups.
The couple traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, including to Poland (West Prussia) to the birthplace of his maternal great grandparents.
Time with family was paramount to Steven. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda; children: Steven Glover, Jr. (Brandy); Tracy Nicole Glover Gafford (Jason); children by marriage: Charlie Pybus (Sue); John Pybus (Vickie); grandchildren Lauren Yisrael (Sam) and Sam Pybus; great granddaughter, Juliette Yisrael; Glover family-brothers, Jim (Sharon), Michael (April), Tom (Helen); Glover sisters-Peggy (Dan), Mary (John); numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by this parents, Alex and Verna, wife, Mary Steese Glover, and brother, Bob Glover.

There is a Private Graveside Service for the Family at 11:00am Saturday, November 22, 2025.
A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas, 78660. The visitation will take place on November 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Round Rock Christian Church, located at 22 Chalice Way, Round Rock, Texas, 78665. The service is scheduled for November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
