Steven Huber, 71, of Georgetown, Texas, and formerly of Austin, Texas, passed away September 15, 2018. He was born in Seguin, Texas, on January 10, 1947. Steven was married to Pamela Speck on February 18, 1967, in San Marcos, Texas.
Steven graduated from San Marcos High School and went on to serve four years in the United States Navy as a SeaBee during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he had a rewarding career as a Master plumber, employed by Ace Plumbing Company and the University of Texas at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus.
Steven enjoyed RV camping, spending time with his grandchildren and two miniature schnauzers, traveling the back roads collecting McCoy pottery, and participating in the McCoy Pottery Collector’s Society.
Steven is survived by his wife Pamela; his son Christopher, daughter-in-law Carol, and granddaughters Sarah and Chelsea of San Antonio, TX; his son Brian, daughter-in-law Trisha, and grandsons Brayden and Grady of Frisco, TX; his brother Rodney Huber and sister-in-law Susan Huber; and his sisters Patty Huber and Linda Huber Torres. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Huber and Helen Scheivelbein Huber.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas, with a small reception to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Steven’s memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
