She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. Susie was wed to Mr. A. C. Freeman on October 29th, 1983, the two were happily married for 25 years until Mr. Freeman sadly passed away on January 12th, 2009.
Susie accepted Christ in September of 1950 at the age of 9 years old. She then joined and became a member of the mt. Sinai Baptist church on April 12th, 1993.
While she was an active member of the church, she was a part of the usher board committee, until her health no longer would allow her to attend or serve at in person worship.
She was reared and graduated through the Austin independent school district Susie was employed at the Travis state school on F.M. 969 for 21.5 years before retiring. She was grateful that the job allowed her to bring her clients home sometimes for the holidays with her family so no one was left alone.
Some of her joys in life were spending time with family, friends and softball. The tournaments her team would play in allowed them to travel.
Around the central Texas area throughout the years. Susie leaves a legacy of 3 generations of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, in laws, cousins and a large blended family.
Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on August 21, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Homegoing Celebration will take place at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 8500 Cameron Rd, Austin, Texas 78754, on August 22, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on August 22, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
