Sydney Dawn Lien

Sydney Dawn Lien, age 20 of Pflugerville, TX answered God’s call Sunday, April 24 2022. Sydney was born to Jamie Dawn Grantham and Michael Sidney Lien on May 15, 2001 in Plainview, Texas. She was raised southern Baptist attending Church, youth groups and Summer camps in the Lubbock area.

Sydney graduated from Frenship High School, the class of 2020 in Frenship, Texas. Several months after graduation Sydney moved to the Austin area to live with her father, stepMom Heather Baumann and her sister and best friend, Nicole. They made their home in Pflugerville. Sydney had a warm heart and was loved by many. Her life’s path wasn’t an easy one but she let that beautiful light keep shining through. She loved humor and loved to laugh! She was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. She loved to travel seeing the beaches of Okaloosa, Florida, Corpus Christi, Texas, Maui, Hawaii, Long-Beach, California. She enjoyed family reunions on all sides of her massive family. She loved animals.

Sydney briefly worked a seasonal job at Target in Pflugerville. She then began working for Sally’s Beauty Supply in Pflugerville. In Sydney’s words “I love it there!”. Sydney loved style, hair, cosmetics! She loved music!

Sydney was predeceased by her mother, Jamie Grantham and grandfather, Randy Grantham

Sydney is survived by her father, Michael Lien and step-mom, Heather Baumann, of Pflugerville; step-dad, John Kilgore of Lubbock; siblings, Keaton, Kyle and Nicole Lien; step-siblings, Brittany ‘Nikki’ Kilgore, of Pflugerville, TX; Jarred Kilgore, of Wolforth, TX; and Christian Calibatsef, of Corpus Christi, TX; grandparents, Karyn and Larry Raschke of Leander, TX; grandmother, Vickie Grantham of Tulia, TX; grandfather, Richard Lien, of Riverview, FL; uncle, Dan (Sally) Lien of Arvada, CO; uncle, Ryan Grantham, of Amarillo, TX; aunt, Casie Grantham of Canyon, TX; cousins, Emily Lien of Arvada, CO and Emma and Addison Grantham of Canyon, TX. Sydney also leaves behind many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

A visitation for Sydney will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home chapel. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
