Thelma was born in Liberty Hill Texas to Fannie Lucille Mason and Thelmon Limuel on November 14, 1934 and she went home to glory April 23, 2018. Thelma attended Miller Primary School in Liberty Hill and then moved to Georgetown Texas to finish high school at Carver High. As a young adult she moved to Austin to attend Business School and began working at Southwestern Bell Communications/AT&T where she worked diligently supporting her children and then retired to stay home.
Thelma also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and occasional trips to Las Vegas. With so much Thelma leaves to carry on birth children Jeanne Marie; Anthony “Tony”; Christopher Keith; Patrick David and Terrance Christian. After retiring Thelma began rearing a new set of children (her great grandchildren) who she loved unconditionally as her own and legally adopted all seven. While raising 7 children she also actively volunteered in the community to help others. Thelma dearly loved her church, “Holy Cross Catholic Church”, where she faithfully served for over 50 years. Thelma, aka Mama T, also leaves a host of grandchildren; great children; relatives and friends.
Full of Love, her cherished memory lives on in all of us as she has gone to her new home following the path that God laid for her. Mama T took God’s hand when she heard the call. Although God wanted her, now she still looks down on us, loves us, supports us and watches over us as our Guardian Angel. We love you Mama, Yesterday…Today and for all our Tomorrows.
A rosary service for Thelma will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma's honor to Holy Cross Catholic Church Scholarship Fund.
