

Born on Feb. 6, 1921, in Round Rock, Texas, she was the first born to Pablo Rodriguez and Luisa Canizales.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years Sebastian Zamarripa, Sr., sisters; Susie Castanon, Inez Dominguez, and brother Lorenzo Rodriguez.
Lola is survived by children Felipe Zamarripa (wife Cuca), Mary Salazar (husband Ben), Nora Bryan (husband Del), Sebastian Zamarripa, Jr. (wife Dawn), Irene Corona (husband Johnny); fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sister Fannie R. Hernandez, brother Raymond Rodriguez, numerous nieces and nephews and Lupe Kavanaugh (husband Rigsby.) As a devoted housewife and homemaker, her favorite activities included sewing, crafting and cooking. She loved her garden and trips taken with her family.
Lola’s home was the center point of the family and her kitchen was the hub of the house. A meal was at the ready for any guest regardless of the time of day. She made countless tamales, friends and memories while never straying far from the stove. Christmas Eve at Lola’s was a joy.
As a life long parishioner of St. William Catholic Church, a rosary and prayer book were never far from her side. Her blessings will be missed and needed so much more in her absence.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary recited at 7 pm on Sunday April 3, 2011 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday April 4, 2011 at St. William Catholic Church 620 Round Rock West, Round Rock, TX 78681. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
