

He is survived by his wife, Souad ElMurr Joseph; his sister, Mary Joseph Schmidt; brother, Joe A. Joseph Jr. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Louis; sister, Julia Joseph Sawyer and brothers, Arthur, William, and Ferris.
Tom and his siblings were the 1st generation of Lebanese descendants to America, settling in Austin. In his youth he served his country through a stint in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he ran a bar and restaurant, Stallions, in Austin. He eventually worked for and retired from the IRS, and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest, cherishing his time with friends and family.
The family will receive guests at a Visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the Memorial Chapel at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, with committal services following in the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Mausoleum. Services will be officiated by Monsignor Donald J. Sawyer.
The family is honored to be served by the Pallbearers; Elie ElMurr, Nabil ElMurr, Fouad Hayek, Werner Schmidt, Jr., Arthur Joseph, Jr. and Mike Guajardo, as well as the Honorary Pallbearers; Mitchell Gilly and Kristopher Gilly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
