

Tommy Quintero was received by the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2022. He was born in Rogers, Texas on June 1, 1949. He was 73 years old. He was survived by his wife Rosi Loera-Quintero of 46 years, married on April 3, 1976. Son’s - Paul F. and Christopher Quintero, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Piaz-Quintero (Antonio Samaniego), two grandsons – Andres R. and Adan T., one granddaughter, Destiny R. all from Austin. Two sisters, Sofia Garza and Josie Vargas (Joe) from Rogers, TX. Two brothers, Jimmy Quintero from Georgetown, TX and Salvador Quintero from Rogers, TX. Many nieces and nephews, great – nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Ramon Quintero, parents, Ramon and Soledad Molina Quintero, brothers, Joe, Jessie, Ramon, Willie and Ruben Quintero. Sisters, Mary Landeros, Juanita Landeros and Lillian Palocios.
Tommy serviced in the Army during the Vietnam War after graduation from Rogers High School. He served 18 months in Vietnam where he was Honorable discharge earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.
In his past-time he enjoyed watching his boys play baseball and football. He served on the Board of Directors at Balcones Little League and Pflugerville High School Board of Directors. He enjoyed watching his grandchild play baseball.
He worked for the Postal Service for 30 years of service. He retired in 2002.
His family would like to Thank the staff at DeVita Dialysis Center in Pflugerville for their care and support. We would also like to Thank, Right-at-Home staff and nurses for their care and support during his illness.
A visitation for Tommy will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 21, 2022,11:00 a.m. at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin, Texas 78758. Following the service will be a committal at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
