T.W. was born in a small town, Seymour, TX, on April 11, 1924. Like most young men, he served in World War II in the Navy. After leaving the Navy in 1946, T.W. married his beloved Jane Chezem and brought Jane and her daughter, Gail, to Austin to begin their future. T.W. graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Business. In 1950 they were blessed with a son, Wesley. T.W. worked in Austin as an Automobile Underwriter with Providence Washington until his retirement.
After retirement, he really enjoyed life. He worked at Hancock Golf Course which provided him many opportunities to do his favorite thing, “play golf”. Another great enjoyment was his love and pride in the Longhorns and games were a family event.
His life was full with 3 granddaughters; Erin, Sarah, and Shelley. He was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren; Johnathan, Shelby, Elin, and Emily. All the kids loved PaPa and he was always there for them.
A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, November 12th at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, TX at 3:30 p.m.
