

Mae was born in Frelsburg, Texas on June 18, 1933. She graduated from Taylor High School and soon after married her beloved husband, Sgt. Lee Anthony (Buddy) Pizalate Sr. (USMC) on February 17, 1952 in Austin, Texas. They soon relocated to the Houston area where they raised their four children. While in Houston, Mae worked for St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School and later for South Houston High School. After the children all graduated, Mae and Buddy relocated to Beaumont, Texas where Mae worked for Lamar University.
After the death of Buddy in 2001, Mae relocated to Round Rock, Texas where she was an active member of St. William Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters where she made so many dear friends. Mae spent the last year of her life living with her sons in Caldwell, Texas.
Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy and oldest son, Barry, who passed in 1974.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Janna Lea Patillo of Houston, Texas; sons, Lee Jr. and Kurt of Caldwell, Texas; as well as, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves extended family and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2020 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at St. William Catholic Church at 620 Round Rock West Dr., Round Rock, Texas 78681. Due to upcoming storms near south Texas, Graveside committal services have been rescheduled to 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 at Grand View Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway in Pasadena, Texas.
Due to the current COVID protocols, guests are required to wear protective face masks at all times and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.
