Velma R. Sansom

Mrs. Sansom was married to Rev. Loy C. Sansom for 45 years and served alongside him in ministry as pastor’s wife and District Pentecostal Ladies Auxiliary President. Rev. and Mrs. Sansom served as District Superintendent of The Pentecostal Church of God of America out of Joplin, Missouri for 18 years. Rev. Sansom passed away in 1984.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. L.C. Sansom, and daughter, Mrs. Judi Crowhurst. She is survived by sisters, Orpah Roberts of Killeen, Texas and Doris Smegner of Weatherford, Texas, daughters, Jennifer (Jan) and Rev. Rick Morrison of Branson, Missouri and Reginna and Tim Osborn of Ft. Worth, Texas. Her grandchildren are: Jeff and Georgia Crowhurst, Jason and Suzette Crowhurst, Jeremy and Cindy Crowhurst, Dr. Kevin and Athena Morrison, Rev. Keith and Amy Morrison, Chief Petty Officer Dale, U.S. Navy and Rachel Morris, Sergeant Wilson Osborn, U.S. Marine Corp., Chelsea Osborn and Erin Osborn and eleven great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
