He graduated from Ball High School in Galveston then attended Southwestern Bible Institute in Waxahachie, The Shield of Faith in Clanton, Alabama and Bob Jones from there. Vic was drafted after leaving Bob Jones and after serving in the Army Air Corps, he went to McNeese College in Lake Charles where he met the love of his life, Katherine Young. They were married June 12, 1949. Vic went on to graduate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and Baylor University in Waco.
Vic and Cathey raised two children, James Lamar and Leanne who they adored. Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, parents, Joe and Bertha Pecorino, infant brother, Dominic, son-in-law Michael Farrell and grandson Trevor. He is survived by his son, Lamar (Sabrina) and daughter, Leanne Farrell, along with his two loving sisters, Concetta and Anna Ruth, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many.
Vic retired from Texas Rehabilitation Commission and was a Baptist Minister of Music but his favorite pastime after his retirement was fishing. He was a long standing member of Metropolitan Bass Club and a lifetime member of North American Fishing Club. He fished in and won many tournaments with his bass club buddies and enjoyed visiting Colorado where he fished the streams with his daughter.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. He will be laid to rest at a private family graveside service.
