Virginia Pierce Blair, age 88, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025. She grew up in Austin, Texas, and graduated from William B. Travis High School. After high school, she went on to live in Chicago, but this was not for long. Her love for Texas and her family brought her back to Austin. She later moved to Round Rock with her husband, John, where they raised their three children and created many precious memories with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia’s journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion for people and animals, and faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Blair; her parents, Wallace and Florence Pierce; and her sister, Billie Mae Davidson. She is survived by her son, David Blair, wife Kim and her son, Justin Kautzman; David’s oldest son, Hunter, his mother, Mary Katherine, wife Kate-Lynn; and David’s sons, Davis and Drake, and their mother, Tina Allison; daughter Laura Dixon, husband John and daughter Shelby Baker; and daughter Denise Parker, husband Michael and sons Ryan, wife Michaela, and John Casey; and various step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are her grandsons Hunter Blair, Davis Blair, Drake Blair, Ryan Parker, John Casey Parker, and Justin Kautzman.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2 pm on Monday, February 24 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Graveside service will follow.
In place of flowers, her family would like donations made to Texas Humane Heroes, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s, and the American Heart Association.
Virginia will be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery , 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660; Section: T, Lot: 135-A, Grave: 2.
