Virginia M. Noren Fyke

Virginia was born on July 4, 1926 in Round Rock to Walter Noren and Pearl Cauthen Noren. She married Ben F. “Bill” Fyke, the love of her life, on February 16, 1946, and they settled in Round Rock, later moving to Austin and then San Antonio, as the family business, Bruce’s Pies, expanded. They moved back to Austin, Texas, for good in 1960.

Virginia loved people, entertaining, dancing and music, but most of all she loved her family. She was very proud of her Swedish and Texas heritage, and was very close to all of her extended family.

Virginia is survived by her children, Alan Fyke and Janet Lewis along with son-in-law Darrell Lewis, three granddaughters, Cari, Rebecca and Ginny, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and her brothers, Gus, Robert, and Kenneth.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hearthstone Health Center, in Round Rock for their loving and compassionate care of Virginia this past year.

Virginia was loving and gracious in life and in death. May she rest in peace.
