Wayne was one of my favorite co-workers and I know he will be greatly missed by his friends and family, including his work family. He always (not an exaggeration!) gave me a hard time around the office; but Wayne was just as good at giving it as he was at taking it so we shared a lot of laughs at each other's expense (in a very fun way, of course). He definitely made it a more pleasant place to work. My sympathies go out to Wayne's family and friends.

Wayne was a pleasure to be around as he was always quick to smile and had mastery of his subtle use of gentle sarcasm. He also always gave people the benefit of the doubt, which set him apart and put those around him at ease. I am grateful for his service to the people of Texas and was lucky to work with him. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family who know better than anyone what a treasure he was.

Wayne was a kind and generous man. I had the privilege of working with him and one time I asked him if he knew where I could find a certain rare and valuable mapping tool. He said "They don't make them anymore, but you can have mine." He would end our conversations with the word "Faaaantastic" and was always happy go- lucky around the work place. He expressed his love for his family and was so proud of his grandchildren. He will be missed but his charming memory will remain.
