Wilbert taught me a great deal about small town banking when I worked with him 30-35 years ago. He was a kind, caring, patient man that loved his family very much. Blessed sleep Wilbert.

Alice and Wilbert were two of our dearest friends when Jim worked at the American National Bank.  Always kind and loving to everyone. May the Lord comfort his loved ones in the loss of precious Wilbert. He was a gentle man, beloved by all.

I have know Wilbert all my life and always enjoyed talking with him when he visited his mom at the farm. Al and I have many fond memories of your family.
He will be truly missed, but we know he is at peace.

Wilbert will now be with his dear wife Alice in eternity. What a gentle, kind, compassionate couple they were that left us with many fond memories. May peace and comfort be with their family.

Wilbert, you were part of a wonderful family--The Mehners.  Your late wife, Alice, was my second cousin and our family always enjoyed visits from the Mehners.  I remember when you and Alice, Dora and Herbert, Paul and Colleen came to my parents' 50th anniversary celebration in Bellville.  That must have been around 1979.  You will be missed and our prayers and sympathy go to your family.  God Bless.

Mr. Witte, you will be missed... I have been your neighbor for 17 years and have been truly blessed to have met you, Mrs. Witte and Jerry. Those many times we have just stood in the yard or against the car and just chatted, about life, politics and the Banking industry which we both shared.. You always made me and my family feel so welcomed to be in the neighborhood. I will miss those days that we just talked.. but I have them in memory and will always cherish them.. as we talked about those days on the farms.. we were so much the same. 2 different places, 2 different ages.. 30 years separated us but that didn't make a difference to you. Again.. I will miss Mr. Witte .. such a kind, gentle and grateful man.   You know.. when he gave you his chuckle.. he had a good story he was about to tell.! . From the McCoy family  to Jerry and Family.. You are in our prayers.. and like Jerry and I still say today. .. and been saying it for years.. If there is anything anytime you need me just call!... and Jerry may God continue to bless you.. I'm just next door my friend, if you need me.. John H McCoy, Jr. and family.

Wilbert was a very kind and warm person.  He will be missed by many.  Our prayers go out to the family.  He is the last double cousin (male) in our family. We will meet him another day.
