

Willa Faye (David) English entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Santa Rosa Sister Mary Hospice in San Antonio, Texas. She was the firstborn child to William Herndon David and Rosa Jewel (Harris) David (both deceased) on November 17, 1917 in Eastland County, outside of Gorman, Texas.
Willa grew up in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, where she met and started dating Frank S. English, Jr. in high school. They were married in First Christian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 17, 1937. During their marriage Willa and Frank lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Findlay, Ohio; Robinson, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Lago Vista, Texas; and San Antonio, Texas. Early in their marriage she was employed in retail sales, but later returned to the role of housewife. While living in Lago Vista, Texas she participated in many local activities.
Willa was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Faye Palmer; brother, Herndon E. David; and sister, Rosa Lee La Fortune. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 75 years, Frank S. English, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas; brother, James M. David of Nipono, California; son, David English and wife Frances of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Russell English and wife Lisa of San Antonio, Texas, and Sean English and wife Becky of Piney Flats, Tennessee; granddaughter, Robin English-Bircher and husband Sean of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Charles Palmer of Phoenix, Arizona and Harrison Palmer of Dallas, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will greet guests at a visitation to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 29 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks with burial following in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Frederick B. Waters, Jr.
