Bill grew up in Louisville and Flaherty, Kentucky. He served in the Armed Services, Air Force Branch, having been called to duty as a result of the Pueblo Crisis. Subsequently, Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Eastern Kentucky University in 1973. He went to work for and retired from IBM, moving to Round rock in 1980.
An accomplished artist, potter, sculptor, carver, and carpenter; Bill was the recipient of many awards. A member of the Central Texas Wood Carvers Association, Texas Wood Carvers Guild and National Wood Carvers Association he won “Best of Show” and definitely “People’s Choice” on multiple occasions!
Bill created a masterpiece with his Carousel Horse and a hundred other ‘master pieces’ with his golf ball carvings! Before his death, Bill gifted all of his wonderful creations to friends and family. His work is now displayed and cherished all across the United States!
