

On November 3, 2012, William Henry Shotwell, Jr., went on to be with his beautiful wife, Ruby McGinnis of almost 54 years. He was born on October 19, 1934, the second of four children, to William Henry Shotwell, Sr., and Kathleen Ford of Philadelphia, PA.
William was baptized at an early age and trusted the lord's plan for his life. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, as a firefighter, at the age of sixteen. He was stationed at England Air Force Base where he met and married Ruby. Through their union, they had six children. William retired from the USAF after twenty years of service, and then went on to retire from the City of Abilene as a firefighter.
He is preceded in the death by his wife, Ruby, his parents, William Henry Shotwell, Sr. & Kathleen Ford, his paternal grandparents, Smitty & Henrietta Rebecca Shotwell, and two sisters, Audrey and Odessa.
He is survived by his six children, William Henry Shotwell, III & Garry Wayne Shotwell, of Abilene, TX, Tawana Carmouche, (Anthony), of Pineville, LA, Linda Shotwell, of Temple, TX, Patricia Colen (Terry), of Austin, TX, Paulette Renee Shotwell (Moses), of Misawa, Japan, one sister, Pearl Shotwell, eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
