Zelma was born on July 22, 1935 in Austin, Texas to the late Warren Callan and Mattie Lou (Hall) Callan. She was caring, loving and a truly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She will be forever remembered for her laughter, generosity, lively spirit, giving nature, amazing smile and everlasting spark. For many years, Zelma worked as a dedicated insurance agent but her greatest passion and achievement in life was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Saundra Vollette of Austin, Texas; her brother Warren Callan Jr, grandchildren Michelle Isaacson, Stephanie DeMeglio, Corey Vollette, Clifford Kubicek Jr. and Ryan Dawkins; as well as many extended family members and close friends.
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Mattie Callan, her beloved husband Dayton, her daughters Debra, Pamela and Gayla, grandson Christopher Otting, great grand-daughter Jordon Otting, and her best friend and dog, Sarah.
A Celebration of Zelma’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660 with funeral Celebrant, Donna Mayfield, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
