Dearest Jackie and family, We are so sorry to hear about the your mom. She was such a sweet lady. When we first moved into the neighborhood,she made us feel so welcome. And even after she moved she continued to keep in touch. She will be missed.

Dear Jackie, John, Matt, and children,

Adaline was my "Southern Belle friend" for the past 20 years or so.  She became almost like a second mom to me after losing my mom in 1998 to cancer.  In fact, I often referred to her as "Mom" when I spoke of her to Jackie.   I was privileged to be invited to her 90th birthday celebration. Jackie had planned a wonderful luncheon for the gals.  My son Eric and I had the privilege of taking her for Mother's Day lunch one year when Jackie and John were out of town. Eric still talks fondly of that Mother's Day that we spent together. I was privileged to have her as a guest at my house on several Thanksgiving holidays, and she was most gracious.
  
I especially enjoyed hearing her "southern accent" and her talk of "southern ways," as it reminded me so much of my grandmother who was raised in Alabama. We shared a love of gardening which made us even closer in spirit.

I am so thankful for the New Year's Day visit several weeks ago when I accompanied Jackie to Arizona Grand.  Adaline's desire was for a "fast food hamburger", so we stopped at Wendy's and got ourselves a Frosty, and took her a hamburger, fries, and Frosty which she seemed to really enjoy. Typical of a southern lady, she was so appreciative of the effort. 

I will miss Adaline greatly, but I know that she is with our Lord. May God bless her soul.
