Agnes J McDowell - Brown

Agnes June McDowell (Mortensen), 82, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 5, 2015. She was born on January 6, 1933 in Phoenix, AZ. Agnes is survived by her husband Dick Brown, her five children: Candy Sommer of Concho, AZ, Lonnie Workman of Tucson, AZ, Terry Duran of Scottsdale, AZ, John McDowell II of Lake Whitney, TX and Liesel Candia of Chandler, AZ. She also leaves behind her cherished fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mae Mortensen, her siblings, Claude, Eldon, Bob & Lyle Mortensen and Zona Kamrar. She left this earth on the 26th anniversary of the loss of her first great grandchild, David Hinds.

Aggie was a North High Mustang, class of 1950. She worked as a bookkeeper for many local businesses and finished her career with Finger, Kaplan & Company. She retired to Concho, AZ in 1996 and enjoyed her years as the Librarian in the LDS Vernon ward.
