Alfred R. Autrey

Bob was born on April 20, 1931, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Alfred Robert Autrey and Thelma Glenna Taylor, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary

D’onne Autrey.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki N. Perry; his sons, Michael Autrey (Danna) and Mark Autrey (Amy); and his stepson, Clary Childers (Ann). He also leaves behind six grandchildren and five

great-grandchildren.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller at NAS Dallas and was honorably discharged in 1959. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1956 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He went on to dedicate much of his professional life to education, teaching computer technology in the business college at Maricopa County Community College District. He retired in 1992 as Department Head after many years of service and lasting influence on his students and colleagues.

Bob enjoyed watching sports, sailing, and photography. He will be remembered by family and countless friends for his friendly spirit, warmth, and sense of humor. In his later years, he became a

man deeply appreciated for his humility, character, and the way he finished his life with profound gratitude.

A private graveside memorial will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley
