Alma Johanna (Sueper) Groch, 99, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Wood Dale, Illinois passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019. She was born on December 23, 1919 in Lindsay, Nebraska to Amelia (Koch) and Anton Sueper. On November 7, 1942 she married Steve Groch of Chicago, Illinois. They celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in May 2002. They were blessed with 7 children. Alma was a full time homemaker, wonderful cook and baker always willing to share a recipe. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Frances and Bernard Sueper, both of Nebraska.
She is survived by her children, Terrence of Glendale, Wanda (Nick) Avender of Peoria, Warren (Cheryl) of Phoenix, Duane ( Denise) of Big Rock, Illinois, Renee' (Ron) Hartmann of Phoenix, Celeste (Bill) Zozokos of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois, Randy (Debbie) of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois, sister, Delores Mausbach of Columbus, Nebraska, 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
