Al was a member of the United States Army, proudly serving in South Korea where he met his beloved wife, Kim. He was an avid gardener with a particular love for orchids and roses. As a long-time member of the American Orchid and Rose Societies, Al won a multitude of ribbons and honors for his flowers. After his wife’s passing in 2013, he even named an orchid variety after her, the Rhyncholaeliocattleya Memoria Kimi Nowak.
Al will be dearly missed by his siblings, Norma (Fred deceased), JoAnn (Joe deceased), Richard (Fran) and John (Linda), his son Thomas (Sherry), grandchildren Ryan (Kelsi) and Sarah, great-granddaughter Sage and many nieces and nephews.
