Aurora was fearless, adventurous, loving and so full of life. Her kind heart, her beautiful smile, and the genuine way she loved others were a gift to everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
She was our beautiful little princess. Her favorite color was pink, she loved anything that sparkled and glittered, and she enjoyed playing with makeup and all the little things that made her feel like the princess she always was to us.
She loved playing soccer and for a little while, she also enjoyed dancing. She had many friends who loved her deeply and who will always remember her joy, her funny little ways, and that incredibly special personality that made aurora simply… Aurora.
Aurora loved adventures. She loved being outdoors with her family, going to the lake, camping, and spending time at the cabin. She wasn’t afraid of anything. To her, everyday was a new adventure waiting to be lived.
And perhaps one of the most beautiful things we now hold close to our hearts is that aurora wasn’t afraid of heaven either. Many times, she would talk about heaven and say that one day she would go there to be with Mia.
Today those words that we once heard through the innocence of a child have taken on a much deeper meaning.
We hold tightly to our faith and find comfort in knowing that Aurora is now in a place where there is no pain, no tears, and no fear. We believe she is in the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by light and love, and reunited once again with Mia.
And although our hearts wish we could have her here with us, we trust in God’s promise that death is not the end, but just the beginning of eternal life.
Aurora left us far too soon, leaving behind emptiness that no words can describe. Today we cry because we miss her. We cry because we wanted to watch her grow, live her dreams, discover the world, and experience so many more adventures. But we also thank God for the beautiful gifts of her life.
For every smile.
For every hug.
For every laugh.
For every adventure.
For every memory.
For the privilege of loving her and being loved by her.
Although our arms can no longer hold her, our hearts will carry her with us always. We will see her in a sky filled with stars. We will remember her when we hear laughter. We will fell her in moments of joy. And we will speak of her again and again because as long as we continue to say her name, Aurora will continue to live in our hearts.
More than anything in this world Aurora loved her Mommy and Daddy.
She always kept them on their toes with her big personality, endless energy, and adventurous spirit. But behind every little mischief, every adventure, and every moment they shared, was an immeasurable amount of love.
Aurora knew how much they loved her. And they knew how much she loved them. That love does not end with her passing. True love never dies.
Aurora was also a wonderful big sister. She loved her family deeply and left each of them with memories that will remain forever.
“May the Angels lead you to Paradise; may the martyrs come to welcome you and take you to the Holy Cross, the new and eternal Jerusalem. May the Angels welcome you and carry you to the bosom of Abraham.”
Rest in peace, our precious Aurora. Until we meet again.
