He and his first wife, Caralee, moved to Phoenix in 1963. He practiced law in Arizona for over 50 years making a name for himself as a premier tax law specialist. He was active in the Arizona State Bar, the Phoenix Art Museum and Arcosanti. He was a founder of the University Club and former council member of the Boy Scouts of America.
In 1984, Art married Pamela Giali and had three more children. Although they divorced, they remained close were committed to each other. He struggled with health problems in recent years, but he was still active and continued working until he left us in his sleep on Monday.
His survivors include his two ex-wives, whose friendship he cherished, his five children and their spouses. Doug (Shannon), Bill (Kimberlee), Kristen Rothman (Michael), Thomas (Sara) and Nicole, as well as, his grandchildren Jackson, Liam, Emerson, Zadee and Henson.
