Audrey Mahoney

Born in California to Paul and Helena Forrest, she is preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald, sister Joyce, and stepson Charles Robert Schubert Jr. Survived by children Martha Schubert (Ken Howard), Barrie Mertz (Chris), Scott Schubert (Amy); and daughters through marriage Ellen Schubert, Teresa Mahoney, Barbara Neumann, 28 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Lovingly married and preceded in death by Charles Robert Schubert (married 1954-1993), and John Edward Mahoney (married 1996-2007).

Her legacy and greatest source of pride included her children, deep connections with family and friends, and her accomplishments on the Space Shuttle Endeavor and the Hubble Space Telescope with colleagues at Sperry and Honeywell.

We will forever remember her integrity, work ethic, and the unending love she demonstrated. Although her death brings us great sorrow, in her final days she gave each of us memories to cherish and advice to live by, and left each of us feeling that she indeed “Loved Me Best”. In the end she was surrounded by love and with great dignity she left us just as she wished.
