Barbara’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found deep meaning in her church and with the Women’s Bible study group. Reading the Bible was a part of Barbara's daily life. She enjoyed dancing, collecting shells on the beach, and tending to her garden. She was devoted to cooking—especially her Italian sauce. She had a fondness for sweets; her favorite was tiramisu.
Barbara was an advocate for Concerned Women for America and Crisis Pregnancy Center. She volunteered with Hospice of the Valley.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Angelo Calderone; daughters Alisa DeCourt (Walter), Diana Epperson (Jerry); granddaughters Isabella Harris, Gianna Epperson and brother Frank Schimicci.
Contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
